The best running shoe in the world is ...

Athletes foot is a common but rather unpleasant condition which affects the feet of anybody, not just athletes. It is a fungal infection, and one which can cause considerable damage and pain at its most severe. At its most minor, it is an unsightly irritant which can cause itching and dry eczema-like scaling of the skin. At its worst it can be a burning inflammation of the skin riddled with open sores and pustules. Doesn't sound pleasant, does it? OK…enough of that..i’m not here to talk about this skin disease…

The guy in the red circle, " Damn! I spent RM500 on these damn shoes and running gear and that Mamat just potong sayur me in a Gajah Duduk sarong!!"

I had an argument with someone today, to put their point across they threw a pair of orthopedic shoes at me. I now stand corrected.

Girls love shoes... so if she throws one at you, you know she's really pissed off

Actually, I am intrigued by this particular RM500 running shoe… apparently its made to feel like you’re barefoot…the oxymoron thing is....you don't have to pay a single cent to run barefoot, why would you pay so much then for a shoe that gives u the feeling of not wearing any shoe??? Baffles my mind...

Vibram is the world leader in high performance rubber soles, targeted to the outdoor, work, recreation, fashion, repair and orthopedic markets.

For more than 70 years, the famous yellow octagon that identifies our brand has been synonymous with quality, performance, safety, innovation and design. Since revolutionizing the sport with the creation of the first rubber sole for mountain climbing in the '30s, Vibram has positioned itself as the market standard. Vibram soles, created with a desire to increase safety and protection levels, are the result of a constant commitment to research and development.

They proved to be irreplaceable companions during many extreme expeditions, conquering Everest, K2 and almost all the highest peaks in the world, distinguishing themselves in competitions and transoceanic regattas like the America’s Cup and the Vendée Globe Challenge and taking innovative design concepts into fashion and recreation.

At the beginning of the last century, mountain climbing was something limited to only a few people who wore rudimentary wooden clogs. Later the “tricounis” appeared. They were the first true climbing shoes, supplied with a stiff set of hobnails. Although they brought clear progress on ice, they were particularly inefficient and dangerous for rock climbing. After several tragedies were caused by these hobnailed shoes, the “Vibram revolution” arrived.

In 1936, Vitale Bramani, an academic of the Italian Alpine Club, returning from a tragic alpine climb, had the intuition to apply the technique Pirelli used on automobile tires on shoe soles. Applying rubber under his mountain boots, he created the first vulcanized rubber soles and revolutionized the practice of mountain climbing.

It is thanks to this remarkable invention, that Vibram (a name created by combining its inventor's first and last names) built its reputation. Over the next few decades, Vibram developed a range of high performance products, suited to various uses. By combining this drive with their collective experience and knowledge, the company came to be the world leader in high-performance soles and synonymous with quality, performance and safety.

So…like all new and wonderful new inventions in this world…..I bet u that the inventors actually somewhat copied ideas from GOD!!!

All I have to say about this Vibram is….tell your story to Abebe and Zola…why do swimmers shave their whole bodies? Why are racing teams sooo obsessed with light weight composite materials and titanium, carbon fibre???

But before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes with you…

Abebe Bikila (August 7, 1932 – October 25, 1973) was a two-time Olympic marathon champion from Ethiopia. A stadium in Addis Ababa is named in his honor.

Zola Pieterse (born Zola Budd, 26 May 1966 in Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa), is a former Olympic track and field competitor who, in less than three years, twice broke the world record in the women's 5000 metres and twice was the women's winner at the World Cross Country Championships.

Budd's career was unusual in that she mainly trained and raced barefoot. Her achievements on the track were often overshadowed by the political controversy she aroused during her short stay in the United Kingdom.
The famous tripping incident with the favourite mary Decker of USA

Budd achieved fame in 1984, at the age of 17, when she broke the women's 5000 metres world record with a time of 15:01.83. Since her performance took place in South Africa, then excluded from international athletics competition because of its apartheid policy, the International Amateur Athletic Federation refused to ratify Budd's time as an official world record.

In 1985 she claimed the world record officially while representing Great Britain, clocking 14:48.07

Six Maasai warriors are planning to run the London Marathon to raise money to find a water source. They plan to wear homemade shoes constructed from cut up car tires.

For anyone who hasn't heard of the Massai, they can literally run for days. They are naturally amazing athletes and may kick some serious butt at the marathon. Some shoe company should donate running shoes for their cause.

So….RM500 shoes to me is only to make you feel better and more confident…but is it better than your god given feet??? U tell me…so let’s do what I have been wanting to do all my life….run!!

Let’s Jom!!!
